ppThe CIM Competence Center is the national reference hub for technology transfer and for the dissemination of skills related to the manufacturing and service industries. /p pCIM is a network composed of Politecnico di Torino and the University of Turin, together with 22 partner companies, making the expertise of industrial leaders available to companies that want to innovate and remain highly competitive in the market. /p pCIM provides specialized services on enabling digital technologies for Manufacturing 4.0 and offers strategic and operational support for industrial development through the dissemination of services and advanced training courses for company managers. /p pThe IT Infrastructure Network Specialist will join CIM’s ICT team and will primarily contribute to the design, implementation, maintenance and evolution of network infrastructures supporting the Competence Center’s activities and projects with partner companies. /p pThe role will focus on LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN and network security architectures, covering requirements analysis, technical design, device configuration, deployment, operational validation, monitoring and troubleshooting. As a complementary responsibility, the specialist may support CIM’s internal IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365 services, user management, server systems, virtualization, backup and business-continuity tools. Areas of particular interest include: /p ul liDesign, implementation and maintenance of enterprise networks; /li liNetwork security, segmentation, VPNs, firewalling and secure connectivity; /li liNetwork monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimization; /li liIntegration with server infrastructures, virtualization, cloud, edge and IT/OT environments; /li liOptional support for CIM’s internal IT, including Microsoft 365, user management, backup and business continuity. /li /ul h3Main activities /h3 ul liDesign, support for implementation, configuration and maintenance of enterprise LAN, WAN and Wi‑Fi network infrastructures. /li liManagement of network devices, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, secure connectivity and access policies. /li liNetwork performance monitoring, connectivity analysis and troubleshooting of infrastructure issues. /li liSupport for the design of infrastructures integrated with server systems, virtualization, cloud, edge and IT/OT environments. /li liPreparation and update of network technical documentation, architecture diagrams and operating procedures. /li liTechnical coordination of suppliers and technology partners involved in the installation, release and maintenance of network infrastructures. /li liSupport for demonstrators,



proof‑of‑concepts and innovation projects requiring dedicated or experimental network infrastructures. /li liSupport for CIM’s internal ICT activities, including Microsoft 365 management, user management, server systems, virtualization, backup and business‑continuity tools. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liSolid technical background in networking, network infrastructures and IT systems, acquired through specialist training paths, professional certifications or equivalent hands‑on experience. /li liExperience in the design, configuration, implementation and management of enterprise network infrastructures, with specific focus on LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi and secure connectivity environments. /li liIn‑depth knowledge of key networking protocols, devices and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, Wi‑Fi, VPNs, firewalling and network segmentation. /li liKnowledge of key network security technologies and best practices for protecting, monitoring and hardening network infrastructures. /li liAbility to perform advanced troubleshooting on network issues, including connectivity, performance, device configuration, security and service‑continuity analysis. /li liAbility to analyse operational needs and translate them into concrete and sustainable technology solutions. /li liExperience or aptitude in managing technical projects. /li liStrong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, suppliers and technology partners. /li liExcellent proficiency with the main office automation tools. /li liExcellent knowledge of Italian, both written and spoken. /li liGood knowledge of English, both written and spoken. /li liDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field. /li liProfessional certifications from Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba, Juniper or equivalent. /li liFamiliarity with Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform services. /li liMicrosoft Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, Google Cloud, VMware or equivalent certifications.Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox or equivalent. /li liExperience in managing HPC infrastructures or computing clusters. /li liKnowledge of or experience with cellular network technologies, with specific reference to 5G solutions,



private 5G networks and evolutions towards 6G. /li liKnowledge of container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. /li liExperience in infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible or similar tools. /li liDevOps and Infrastructure as Code skills. /li liExperience in cybersecurity, vulnerability assessment and infrastructure hardening. /li liExperience in designing edge‑computing and Industrial IoT architectures. /li liKnowledge of OT infrastructures and industrial protocols. /li liAbility to design and deliver education activities, technical training and knowledge‑transfer initiatives for companies, partners or internal stakeholders. /li liPrevious experience in delivering specialized training. /li /ul h3Location /h3 ul liTurin office. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 pThe selection is open to profiles with different levels of seniority, including experienced professionals and technical profiles possessing the required skills. Relevant professional experience, technical skills, and the level of autonomy and responsibility developed will be assessed. /p h3Compensation and contract type /h3 pExpected gross annual salary range for the position: €28,000–€42,000.
