We work very closely with other Arup teams as part of Arup-wide multi-disciplinary teams across the World. /p pWe deliver projects primarily in the Science, Industry and Technology, Property, Healthcare, Social Infrastructure and Sport sectors. /p pThe team works principally in a BIM focused environment, constructing civil engineering designs in Civil 3D and Revit for coordination and connection with each discipline team in a collaborative common data environment (CDE). We deploy green infrastructure (GI) and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) designs to the maximum extent possible on our projects. /p pAt Arup, we combine the various core civil engineering aspects of a project and combine these into a single business offering for our clients, which is delivered by our dedicated Civil Engineering Team. /p h3As a Senior Site Development Engineer at Arup, you will: /h3 ul liLead the design and delivery of the site infrastructures of technically demanding projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. /li liAct as project lead in managing the service and in having a direct interface with the clients’ teams. /li liLiaise with clients from feasibility to completion to assist in setting and delivering the design ambitions. /li liAssist in the definition of site surveys and testing necessary to acquire site specific data for the design. /li liDevelop the site infrastructure design through the design stages and the permitting and procurement process. /li liManage the supervision of the civil construction works as part of the clerk of works team. /li liAssist in developing our Civil Engineering business by attending client meetings, producing bid documentation and general business development activities,
but also by taking personal responsibility for the management and development of your colleagues. /li liActively share knowledge across the team to strive to deliver the highest quality of service to our clients. /li /ul h3Does this role inspire you? /h3 h3About /h3 pWe're looking for a suitably qualified Site Development Engineer, passionate about site development, mainly for industrial and data centre projects and the impact that design has on our environment. We also value: /p ul liDegree in Civil Engineering with minimum 10 years’ experience within a consultancy environment. /li liChartered professional status or in the process of gaining the qualification. /li liStrong civil engineering technical design skills in the areas of surface water, foul water, energy, roads and carparks, earthworks, electrical and fibre utilities. /li liResponsible for producing drawings, specifications and reports to time and budget. /li liAwareness of the Italian regulatory and planning framework, together with experience of managing civil engineering projects through the planning process. /li liAbility to technically lead and manage the design process from conceptual layout to detailed design and construction. /li liExperience of managing internal and external design interfaces e.g., architectural, structural, geotechnical, landscape, mechanical and electrical. /li liPassionate about driving digital delivery on projects and keeping appraised of latest industry developments around digital and BIM. /li liExperience of leading and directing teams in a digital/BIM environment, co-ordinating civil services with those of other disciplines. /li liExperience with Civil 3D/Revit and other BIM software. /li liKnowledge of Navisworks and clash detection process. /li liKnowledge of Hydraulic Modelling software.
