Ensuring timely delivery, support, continuous improvement and adherence to best practice technical and security standards. /p pThis primarily refers to FAO Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
environment based on Oracle eBusiness suite and may also include relevant Oracle Fusion cloud modules or other platforms to complement the core ERP functionality such as Salesforce or Service Now. /p h3Key Results /h3 pPlanning, management and delivery of digital services and technology solutions to ensure reliable and effective support to Organization's requirements. /p h3Key Functions /h3 pManages the assigned programme of work, ensuring that it is consistent with the overall strategic vision and enterprise architecture, and that it meets the Organization and CSI’s priorities. /p pAddresses issues resulting from programme of work interdependencies/gaps and resolves, as needed. /p pRepresents CSI Division in stakeholder discussions, representing divisional interests in the areas of direct responsibility. /p pNegotiates contractual and service agreements for provision of digital products and/or services. /p pPromotes and implements service improvement programmes and initiatives to ensure the Division is well placed to meet dynamic business needs. /p pMonitors, audits and reports on service performance to foresee, identify and address areas of risk, and ensures compliance with agreed service level expectations. /p pManages the assigned IT solutions and services life cycle from initial analysis of business needs to delivery and on-going support and maintenance in line with organizational and CSI Division policies, standards, and procedures. /p pManages the assigned financial and human resources. /p pIdentifies, assesses and manages risks, proposing mitigation activities as required. /p pPromotes cross-functional information sharing and collaboration by working with other teams within CSI Division and business teams within the organization. /p pIdentifies resource requirements, develops budgets and work plans, and advocates for additional human resources. /p pCoordinates and ensures initiatives under the Organization's work on the Corporate Environmental Responsibility Strategy, to reduce emissions, increase efficiency and integrate sustainability into the Organization's daily operations. /p pPerforms other duties as required. /p h3Specific Functions /h3 pCoordinates teams in ensuring that the maintenance and support of FAO's ERP environment and its related satellite systems are performed as per the agreed service levels. /p pLeads continuous improvements of FAO's ERP environment in cooperation with key users, ensuring that it meets business requirements, while at the same time ensuring that technical teams follow adequate technical standards in delivering changes and new functionalities. /p pIdentifies opportunities for further process automation complementing FAO's ERP based on Oracle eBusiness Suite through utilization of Oracle Fusion Cloud modules, use of complementing approaches (e.g. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure low-code development), use of other platforms (e.g. ServiceNow, Salesforce) or technologies (e.g. RPA, AI). /p pLeads modernization of legacy applications preferably replacing the provided functionalities using corporate platforms capabilities.
/p pLiaises with the FAO infrastructure provider and various software and cloud vendors to resolve any issue related with software upgrade , implementation, migration, or bug fixes. /p pIdentifies security risks and in cooperation with FAO CISO ensure that remediation actions and controls are adequately implemented. /p pMaintains the relevant Business Continuity Plans (BCP) in consultation with all the stakeholders. /p pEnsures the change management and release management processes are strictly followed. /p h3CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING /h3 pAdvanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, information systems, software engineering, electric or electronic engineering, mathematics, statistics, business management or a related field. /p pSeven years of relevant experience in managing teams, information technology and business processes in domain of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), preferably based on e-Business Suite and/or Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Applications. /p pWorking knowledge (proficiency - level C) of English and intermediate knowledge (intermediate proficiency - level B) of another official FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish). /p pResults Focus /p pTeamwork /p pCommunication /p pBuilding Effective Relationships /p pKnowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement /p h3Technical/Functional Skills /h3 pWork experience in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions. /p pExtent and relevance of experience in managing large scale ERP environments, preferably in a public sector or international organization. /p pExtent and relevant experience in business process automation, using ERP (Oracle eBusiness Suite or similar). /p pExperience with Salesforce CRM and ServiceNow is an asset. /p pExtent and relevance of experience in managing highly skilled teams in a hybrid cross-platform environment. /p pExtent and relevance of experience in managing business stakeholders and technology partners. /p pExtent and relevance of experience with providing services to clients. /p pKnowledge and certification of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is an asset. /p pDemonstrated experience in drafting reports and documents in the required languages. /p pExtent and relevance of experience in the field of the Corporate Environmental Responsibility is an asset. /p h3GENERAL INFORMATION /h3 ul liExtension of fixed term appointments is based on certification of performance and availability of funds /li liFAO reserves the right not to make an appointment. /li liAppointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and security clearances. /li /ul h3CONDITIONS OF SERVICE /h3 pA competitive compensation and benefits package is offered.
