Category Purchasing Manager

As part of our Sourcing and Manufacturing service this position will report to the Sourcing & Manufacturing Director and will manage products purchasing for the assigned Category.

Main activities and accountabilities:
- Plan the purchases, on the basis of indications defined by Product Development area
- Check the offers and negotiate the purchasing prices and the terms of Supply contracts coherently with finished goods’ pricing policies established by Product/Marketing areas
- Suppliers scouting by evaluating their capabilities, reliability, delivery timing and quality service
- Analyze periodically the information coming from suppliers and competitors market, providing a constant update of Purchasing plans.

Requirements:
- Degree in Economics or Engineering




- 2/3 years of experience in Purchasing roles preferably in Fast-Moving consumer goods or in sporting goods
- Fluent in English both spoken and written
- Knowledge of merceology and processing cycles in order to properly evaluate the production costs
- Ability to deal the purchasing conditions and to adapt the communication and negotiation styles through a multicultural approach
- Strong project and time management skills, ability to work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to act as team player and cooperate with internal and external cross-functional groups (Marketing, Product, Sales)
- Passion for sport
- Willingness to travel to Italy and abroad
