Job Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk manages the flow of inbound and outbound goods to effectively and efficiently support the manufacturing and delivery of product for our customers. This individual arrives on time daily and complies with company policy concerning attendance.
Responsibilities:
- Set up shipping and receiving department and coordinate for daily activities.
- Coordinate shipments for each day. Shipments for the current day must be shipped before the end of the day and not carry into the next day.
- Coordinate with office personnel for proper invoicing and provide packing receipts to Accounting.
- Prepare proper shipping paperwork and pack orders, including preparing products safely with proper boxes, labels, and postage.
- Keep inventory of shipping supplies and reorder supplies as required.
- Maintain good communications with the Operation Manager and other department leadership.
- Complete all required timesheets, work orders, and sales orders daily.
- Assist Material Handling and warehouse staffers as needed or assigned.
- Act as backup to Material Handling as needed.
- Responsible for knowledge and adheres to all ERP procedures regarding shipping and packaging.
