At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional DevOps Engineer to join our UniQue Ispra team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers in the public sector and you will be responsible for developing new business by identifying profitable opportunities, maintaining your client portfolio by building strong, long-lasting relationships, and monitoring the progress of the projects, with the aim to provide excellent client service and added value services.
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Establish and manage procedures related to deployment of information systems and processing services based on Kubernetes.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for data processing and analysis, including integration with the European Institution's DevOps platform.
- Support scientific users with the configuration and deployment of processing services based on Kubernetes.
- Support the team in charge of BDAP in deployment of Linux nodes on new hardware.
- Test deployment of processing environments in public cloud systems.
- Documentation of work (configurations, routines, scripts, etc.) in the project wiki and code repositories.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Sound experience in Linux environments (RedHat/Community Enterprise Linux, Debian/Ubuntu), including bash and Python scripting, as well as networking.
- Good knowledge of system and service deployment with Foreman and Ansible.
- Experience with Docker container environments and Kubernetes (K8s) orchestration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools.
- Good working knowledge of English.
Desirable knowledge
- Proxmox.
- Service deployments in commercial clouds like AWS, Azure, etc. or clouds based on OpenStack.
