At BW Water, now part of De Nora Water Technologies, within the De Nora Group, we are seeking a Junior Project Manager, based in Milan, to manage the successful planning, coordination, and implementation of water treatment plant and pipeline construction projects. You will take ownership of assigned projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, and ensure delivery in terms of time, cost, quality, and safety. Supported by experienced project managers, you will independently drive project execution and develop your project leadership skills.
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management Coordinate customers, engineering, procurement, construction teams, and subcontractors
Manage interfaces between internal departments and external partners
Act as key contact for customers and stakeholders throughout project execution
Ensure clear communication and alignment of project objectives
Cost, Contract & Risk Management Take co-responsibility for project financial performance and budget compliance
Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and drive corrective actions when needed
Identify project risks and opportunities and support effective mitigation measures
Support contract and claim management activities
Project Planning & Execution Manage project schedules, resources, and daily project activities
Coordinate engineering, construction, and commissioning activities
Ensure efficient allocation of personnel, materials, and equipment
Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery
Quality, Safety & Reporting Ensure compliance with HSE,
quality and contractual requirements
Coordinate site execution and support successful project handover
Maintain project documentation, reports, and performance tracking
Requirements Degree in Engineering or comparable technical qualification
First experience in project management of industrial plant or infrastructure projects
Experience managing small to medium-sized projects (€ 0.5–10M)
Experience in budgeting, cost control, and resource planning
Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
Analytical, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style
Experience with technical drawings and project documentation
Proficient in MS Office and project tools (e.g., MS Project)
Fluent in English and Italian
Willingness to travel within Germany, Italy, and the EMEA region
Valid driving license Class B
EPC and/or industrial pipeline construction experience is an advantage
