The role involves monitoring and analyzing security events to protect systems and data. Monitor and analyze security events from multiple sources including SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems. Investigate security incidents and determine their scope, impact, and root cause. Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents. Prepare detailed incident reports, documenting findings, actions taken, and recommendations. Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or similar platforms. Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls,
and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys. Understanding of common security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls. Experience with incident response procedures and best practices. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
