Overview
As a Satellite IVVQ RF Engineer, you drive verification activities and test planning for RF subsystems on SAR payloads and related ground link interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements traceability, verifiability, and compliant delivery of flight-ready components. You will shape verification strategies across EM/QM development models and contribute to a space program with a strong mission to observe, defend, and explore. This role offers exposure to end-to-end verification of complex space systems at Roma.
Responsabilità
- Develop and manage verification plans for SAR payload, PDHT, and TT&C; at satellite level
- Define and maintain verification control documents (VCD/DVCM) and evidence for closure
- Coordinate verification activities with AIT, customers, and internal teams
- Specify test requirements and plans, and oversee changes during test campaigns
- Support VC boards (VCB) and provide evaluation reports
- Use DOORS or Polarion for requirements management and traceability
- Ensure flow-down and traceability of requirements across platform, payload, and satellite levels
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test verification consolidation
Requisiti fondamentali
- Experience in RF systems, especially SAR and on-board image storage/transmission (PDHT)
- Knowledge of ECSS standards and project development documentation (DDP)
- Familiarity with DOORS or Polarion for requirements management
- Experience with verification approaches for EM/EQM development, QM qualification, and flight acceptance
- Ability to define verification methods per requirement and manage related documentation (RFD/W, Traceability matrix, CR/CN)
- Aptitude for co-engineering with project teams to ensure verifiability and clarity of requirements
