Overview
As an Application Engineer at Vertiv, you will provide expert technical support and training for IT Systems products across EMEA and worldwide. You will lead technical aspects of multi-LOB projects, collaborate with sales and product teams, and ensure customer needs are translated into tailored solutions. You will build trust with customers, partners and consultants, delivering engaging content and practical guidance. This role combines hands-on IT systems work in data center settings with customer-focused pre-sales and post-sale support, contributing to Vertiv’s growth and innovation.
Responsabilità
- Build and maintain relationships between Sales teams and Lines of Business to foster collaboration
- Serve as a technical advisor to customers, partners, and consultants across EMEA and worldwide
- Attend customer meetings as a technical expert to provide insights and guidance
- Create product and application presentations for customers and consultants
- Visit consultants to develop effective solutions and relationships
- Deliver technical training for sales teams and customers
- Organize and host events and webcasts to showcase Vertiv products and technologies
- Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to provide feedback and help shape new products
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay at the forefront of innovation
- Continuously develop knowledge in IT SYSTEMS solutions to support professional growth
Requisiti fondamentali
- Extensive hands-on experience with IT SYSTEMS products and installation, especially in Datacenter environments
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Thermal and Power systems within Data Center or similar environments (valued)
- Solid experience in adjacent markets and diverse roles
- Fluent in English and the local language
- Strong IT skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a customer-centric, sales-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Background in requirement engineering
- Proficiency in technical drawing with Visio or CAD
- Proven ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and deliver impactful solutions
