Overview
As Manufacturing Engineer, you drive operational excellence in the plant’s assembly area through process improvements, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. You collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and other functions to support new product introductions and process changes while upholding safety and quality standards. You explore innovative ideas to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance quality, and you may support lifecycle and change-qualification activities for successful product launches. This role offers cross-functional impact in a global manufacturing setting with exposure to automation upgrades and troubleshooting.
Responsabilità
- Support the plant assembly department to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new products and implement process changes in manufacturing
- Support the implementation of quality systems within the workshop
- Explore new ideas and technologies to improve processes, quality, and costs
- Back up Product Lifecycle Management activities, including APD and CQP methodologies, for product launches and quality compliance
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Sales,
and Production across plant departments
- Support machine revamping and continuous improvement projects across the plant
- Support diagnostic activities, troubleshooting, and minor PLC program modifications on manufacturing equipment and automation systems
- Collaborate with external suppliers and technical partners for complex troubleshooting, upgrades, and CI initiatives
- Travel: Up to 10% if required
Requisiti fondamentali
- University degree in Automation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with Industrial Automation specialization
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles with ability to read schematics and drawings
- Basic knowledge of Siemens automation platforms (SIMATIC S7 PLCs, TIA Portal)
- Basic understanding of industrial automation systems, sensors, actuators, drives, and industrial networks
- Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Good English proficiency (written and spoken)
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge (preferred)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Cross-functional collaboration in international teams
