Overview
As a Business Development Manager for Italy, you will drive Visa’s growth by identifying and closing new fintech opportunities. You’ll own the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to agreement, in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will shape compelling value propositions for emerging use cases and help expand Visa’s capabilities across the Italian market. This role suits a proactive hunter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and aims to deliver ambitious revenue targets.
Responsabilità
- Prospect and build a qualified pipeline of net-new leads in fintech
- Meet or exceed sales targets and take corrective actions when needed
- Qualify and prioritise opportunities based on strategic fit and revenue potential
- Lead initial client engagement to assess needs and progress deals through the funnel
- Collaborate with Digital Sales and cross-functional partners to accelerate deal progression
- Partner with tech enablers to shape new use cases and open fintech verticals
- Develop commercial frameworks and lead contract negotiations to close
- Maintain CRM hygiene, define next steps, and forecast consistently
- Support or lead Visa Innovation Program Italy execution
Requisiti fondamentali
- 12+ years of experience in business development/new business sales (hunter role) in payments, fintech, or tech partnerships
- Fintech experience is a strong plus
- Native Italian, fluent in written and spoken English
- Excellent AI, presentation and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong project management with ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple initiatives
- Strong lead qualification and prioritisation skills with a high-velocity pipeline
- Willingness to work 3 days per week in the office in Milan
