Overview
In this role, you define and control inventory levels for materials and manage warranty project requests to meet operations needs while minimizing cash immobilization. You will shape the Services Material planning and inventory strategy aligned with warranty obligations and internal constraints. You ensure material availability through effective scheduling and follow-up, supporting timely repair orders. You work with cross-functional teams to optimize stock coverage, traceability in SAP, and continuous improvement of the planning process, contributing to Alstom’s low-carbon mobility mission.
Responsabilità
- Define and execute material planning and inventory strategy tied to warranty obligations and internal constraints
- Guarantee material availability via scheduling and follow-up
- Improve materials availability and inventory management performance
- Interface with internal and external functions to ensure repair orders are processed within target times
- Define order-reorder strategy to optimize inventory coverage and reduce stock-outs
- Set parts categories (ABC, variability, business type) for planning and replenishment
- Manage shipment requests between Central Warehouse, customers,
and repair centers according to procedures
- Ensure full traceability of broken parts in SAP
- Support warehouse teams to guarantee timely shipping/delivery according to maintenance priorities
- Forecast material needs for sourcing and define supply priorities per contracts
- Define and implement action plans for planning process improvements
- Set up ERP parameters to implement material planning strategies and ensure SAP data accuracy
- Improve planning tools using historical data and customer plans
- Analyze inventory content to refine planning strategies
- Define and manage inventory reduction improvement plans
- Measure supply chain performance and create analytical reports
Requisiti fondamentali
- SAP proficiency
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Data extraction and manipulation
- English proficiency
- Approximately 2 years of experience in Supply Chain
- Good attitude to personal relationships and teamwork
