Overview
As a Method Engineer at Alstom, you define and validate the detailed manufacturing process for new products and establish industrial master data. You drive continuous improvements in serial production and industrialize product and process changes. You collaborate with Design, PIM, and Production to ensure manufacturability, quality, cost and delivery targets. You’ll work across design reviews, tooling, ERP routings, work instructions, and time analysis to enable efficient production and safe working conditions. This role offers impact on project level manufacturability and ongoing process optimization.
Responsabilità
- Define and validate detailed manufacturing processes for new products
- Prepare industrial master data and set manufacturing method times
- Drive continuous improvement and industrialize changes in serial production
- Guide product definition to improve manufacturability and achieve QCD targets
- Participate in product design reviews when required
- Estimate Method Time and perform time analysis
- Participate in P-FMEA and prototype validation
- Request tooling and write tooling specifications
- Create ERP routings,
Work Instructions, Inspection Instructions, and CNC programs as needed
- Ensure EHS and ergonomic conditions; sequence work stations; validate design and industrialization via FAR/FAI
- Industrialize retrofit after engineering changes (routings, work instructions, tooling)
- Support Production to achieve manufacturing targets and participate in continuous improvement workshops
- Contribute to industrial REX on manufacturing processes
Requisiti fondamentali
- Manufacturing experience, preferably in railway industry
- Technical knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, writing work instructions, line balancing
- Experience with ERP (e.g., SAP) for BOMs, routings, configuration follow-up
- Knowledge of Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics
- Familiar with IS common tools
- Process FMEA and QRQC
- Time analysis techniques (MTM, MEK, UAS)
