Overview
In this role you design and coordinate electrical and automation aspects for rolling mills and processing lines, supporting sales projects and technical specifications. You will lead cross‑functional discussions with customers, suppliers, and consortium members, and ensure harmonized electrical, mechanical, and fluid interfaces. You’ll develop basic engineering documents and support procurement and commissioning. The position fits into SMS’s Center of Excellence for Flat Products, enabling you to shape turnkey solutions at scale.
Responsabilità
- Coordinate Electric & Automation supplies for rolling mills and processing lines
- Support sales project engineering and contribute to technical specifications
- Lead meetings with customers, sub-suppliers and consortium members
- Manage technical systems (e.g., fluid systems) and interfaces with Electrical & Automation
- Oversee standalone external supply package units
- Define machinery functional logics with mechanical department
- Prepare Basic Engineering Documents (motor/component lists,
electromechanical descriptions, safety docs, motor/sensor types, electrical drawings) with cross‑discipline harmonization
- Prepare technical documentation for purchasing and supplier interfaces
- Provide feedback to Sales and Execution
- Assist site during shipment, erection and commissioning phases
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering with knowledge of Power supply, Drives, Motors, Sensors and Automation-Systems
- Ability to read fluid schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience in sales and engineering of complex electrical and automation systems
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness for worldwide business trips
