As Lead Backend Engineer in the Consumer Growth team, you shape the technical direction for growth-focused services powering the consumer journey. You design and own backend systems—from identity and payments to loyalty—driving reliable, scalable experiences. You collaborate across teams, raise engineering standards, and mentor peers to deliver impactful features before rollout. This role offers ownership, cross-functional impact, and the chance to influence a high-velocity FinTech platform.

Responsabilità
- Design, implement and operate backend services powering the consumer experience (payments, identity, loyalty, engagement)
- Own API design, data modeling, production rollouts and on-call ownership
- Lead cross-team technical analysis, design discussions and produce clear documentation
- Raise quality through testing strategies, safe rollouts and debt reduction across services
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on patterns, dependencies, and operational excellence
Requisiti fondamentali
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Proven experience with microservices and cloud environments (AWS a plus)
- Deep Java and Spring Boot expertise
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and external dependencies (e.g., banking protocols)
- Structured communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders
- Impact-driven, adaptable, and proactive in optimizing systems beyond initial requirements
- Fluent in English and passionate about FinTech
