Overview
As an SNE at EFSA you contribute your public administration expertise to support EFSA’s risk assessment activities and scientific panels, while returning valuable knowledge to your home administration. You work in a dynamic, international setting, collaborating across units to strengthen the EU’s scientific assessment capacity. The role blends scientific support, data collection, and communication, offering growth through cross-border networking. This secondment is a meaningful way to shape EU food safety together with a diverse, ethical, and inclusive team.

Responsabilità
- Support scientific panels and risk assessment activities
- Contribute to data collection and analysis
- Engage in communication and business support tasks
- Foster knowledge exchange between EFSA and the SNE’s home administration
- Collaborate within a multicultural, cross-unit environment
Requisiti fondamentali
- Be national of EU/EFTA or partner country
- Employed by public administration or intergovernmental organization
- At least 12 months with current employer before secondment
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in administrative, scientific, technical, advisory, or supervisory roles
- Thorough knowledge of one official language and satisfactory knowledge of another
- No criminal record and meet duty requirements
- Strong collaboration across disciplines
- Effective communication in English (oral and written)
- Motivation to build partnerships with EFSA
- Expertise in an area related to EFSA activities
- Experience in risk assessment or scientific advisory functions
- Data collection and analysis
