As a Silicon Photonics Design Engineer, you will help develop silicon photonics IC-based products from design to fabrication and testing. Responsabilità
- Own Tx and/or Rx PIC designs and communicate performance requirements to cross-functional teams
- Evaluate optical link budgets, RFEO performance, and power consumption to verify against requirements
- Define test requirements and collaborate with test teams to develop comprehensive test plans
- Generate PIC performance documents to track performance across R&D; and production variants
- Evaluate new design approaches and drive device-level and system-level optimization
- Interface with mixed-signal IC, substrate, packaging, and simulation teams to ensure co-design/co-optimization of photonics chips
Requisiti fondamentali
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or Applied Physics
- Hands-on experience in silicon photonic device design, characterization, and modeling
- Proficient with optical and RF simulation tools (Lumerical, HFSS, ADS) and photonic circuit design
- Proficient in Python or C/C++ with solid understanding of optics and electromagnetics
- 2+ years of experience in silicon photonics design, testing, and characterization
