We’re looking for an Art Director with excellent visual taste, strong graphic design skills and a highly developed eye for contemporary culture and social media.
This is a hands-on visual role.
We’re looking for someone who can turn ideas and briefs into strong, distinctive visual work across social content, campaigns, presentations, credentials, websites and brand touchpoints.
You’ll work closely with strategists, editors and producers, helping define and elevate the visual standard of both our client work and Cooltura itself.
What you’ll do
- Develop visual directions and artwork from client briefs and creative concepts
- Design strong layouts, key visuals, social assets, graphic systems and campaign materials
- Create compelling moodboards, treatments, decks and visual presentations
- Translate brand identities into fresh, culturally relevant visual languages for TikTok, Instagram and digital platforms
- Work across typography, composition, image selection, photography, colour, graphic treatments and visual storytelling
- Create and adapt artwork across multiple formats while maintaining consistency and a high level of craft
- Collaborate with motion designers and editors to translate graphic systems into moving content
- Develop visually strong new business and pitch presentations
- Turn Cooltura’s projects into compelling case studies, credentials and portfolio work
- Play a key role in the creative evolution of the Cooltura website, social channels and agency identity
- Help build and maintain templates, visual systems and design standards across the agency
- Explore emerging graphic languages, design trends, creators, formats and AI creative tools
- Review artwork and provide visual feedback to designers, editors and collaborators
- Take ownership of visual workstreams from initial direction through to final delivery
- Continuously raise the quality, consistency and craft of everything that leaves the agency
What we’re looking for
- Approximately 2–5 years of experience within a creative agency, design studio, social agency or similarly fast-paced environment
- A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent graphic design and visual craft
- Strong skills in typography, layout, composition, image-making and contemporary design
- Excellent proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or equivalent design tools
- Confidence designing for both digital and social-first environments
- A strong understanding of how visual systems need to flex across TikTok, Instagram, presentations, websites and branded content
- A natural affinity with fashion, beauty, lifestyle, creators and contemporary culture
- A strong eye for photography, imagery, styling and visual references
- Experience working with motion, video or animation is a strong plus
- Curiosity around emerging AI design and image-making tools
- The ability to work quickly without compromising quality
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Confidence presenting visual work and explaining design choices
- Ability to receive feedback, collaborate closely and challenge work constructively
- Initiative, autonomy and a high personal standard for design
