Overview You will design, implement, and lead a globally aligned Employee Relations capability at Arup. You’ll establish universal ER policies and practices across regions, while collaborating with Legal, Ethics and Compliance, and People partners. Responsabilità
Design, implement and lead a globally aligned ER capability across regions and time zones Establish global ER policies, standards and employment contracts with cross‑functional collaboration Oversee performance improvement processes and act as ER consulting partner to leaders Serve as escalation point for complex/high‑risk ER matters and ensure respectful workplace practices Develop global ER operating model, governance framework, and playbook alignment with values and law Horizon scan for evolving employment law and risk, updating policies and capability accordingly Standardise case management,
disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution globally Lead training, audits, and quality reviews to ensure consistent ER practices across regions Manage Speak Up/whistleblowing cases per regulatory and ethics frameworks Build and coach a global ER team, fostering collaboration, psychological safety, and data‑driven improvement Engage with stakeholders and change management to centralise ER models Identify, select and manage external legal counsel, ER consultants, and potential tech vendors
Requisiti fondamentali
Extensive progressive HR experience with senior ER leadership in a global organisation Proven track record designing centralised ER functions across multiple geographies Deep knowledge of global employment law, labour relations, and performance management Experience handling complex investigations with discretion and integrity Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills Experience managing external vendors and legal counsel Bachelor’s degree in HR, Law, Business, or related field (preferred) Ability to navigate ambiguity, analytical mindset, and strong collaboration across levels Commitment to diversity and inclusion and to high‑quality service delivery strong leadership stakeholder management collaboration global employment law investigations and case management policy development and governance
