Overview In this role you will drive supplier quality initiatives to ensure products meet customer requirements and minimize quality costs. You will collaborate with Design and Manufacturing teams to support APQP, new product launches, and process improvements. You will perform root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and lead supplier visits to verify corrective actions. This position sits within a cross‑functional environment aimed at defect prevention, waste reduction, and sustained customer satisfaction at BorgWarner.
Responsabilità
Lead supplier validation audits and APQP activities with documentation and status tracking Define process parameters with Design and Manufacturing Engineers for new or changed products Assist in supplier approval by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent issues and line stops Support supplier quality during new product introductions and sample approvals Perform on-site supplier visits to verify action effectiveness and train teams on quality awareness Lead and coordinate supplier issue resolution, aiming for on-time, cost-effective outcomes Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six-Sigma, and Poka-Yoke techniques Write reports and present progress to project teams and clients Ensure builds meet quality standards, stay within budget, and anticipate supply changes Foster effective communication and strong internal/external relationships
Requisiti fondamentali
experience in supplier quality and quality planning (APQP) ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions familiarity with Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke experience with supplier audits and supplier development ability to support new product launches and sample approvals ability to work with cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing) strong communication and leadership skills team collaboration problem-solving strong communication APQP Lean Six-Sigma
