Overview As a Critical Environment Program Manager, you ensure the safe, reliable operation of data center mechanical and electrical systems. You will oversee preventative and corrective maintenance, drive incident reviews and change management, and lead safety/compliance across sites. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and landlords to optimize performance and reduce risk. This role offers a hands-on, impact-focused path within Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation team, shaping resilient, energy-efficient datacenters.
Responsabilità
Oversee daily operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems in data centers Ensure uptime and reliability through proactive monitoring, maintenance oversight, and risk mitigation Lead operational excellence by governing maintenance procedures, incident reviews (RCAs), and change management Drive safety and compliance, addressing risks or incidents per Microsoft standards Partner with engineering teams, vendors,
and landlords to optimize datacenter performance Identify and reduce risk to minimize high-impact incidents year over year Support emergency response readiness as escalation point for facilities incidents Deliver efficiency outcomes through cost optimization and energy efficiency initiatives; measure/report key metrics (power, temperature, SLA)
Requisiti fondamentali
Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or services Experience in large scale industrial projects or data centers Proficiency in written, reading, and conversational English Cross-functional collaboration Proactive problem-solving Safety-conscious and detail-oriented Mechanical and electrical systems maintenance Preventative and corrective maintenance planning Incident reviews and root cause analysis
