Sports Data Scout – Calcio e Pallavolo
IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT A REMOTE JOB.
Onspora is recruiting freelance Sports Data Scouts in Italy to collect live match data at football and volleyball events.
The Scout must physically attend the match at the stadium or sports hall, follow the game in real time, and enter match events using a dedicated mobile application.
Sports currently available:
Football – Serie D
Volleyball – Serie A1, Serie A2 and selected competitions
Compensation
€55 for each successfully completed official match.
This is a freelance opportunity. Assignments depend on the availability of matches and the coverage needs in your area. There is no guaranteed number of matches or fixed monthly income.
Requirements
- Android smartphone required
- Ability to physically attend matches at stadiums or sports halls
- Ability to travel to assigned venues
- Good knowledge of the selected sport
- Basic English language skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Not currently working as a player, coach or member of the staff of the competition being covered
English requirement
Basic English is required because the scouting platform, training materials and operational communication are in English. You do not need advanced or fluent English, but you must be able to understand basic instructions and communicate when necessary.
Important: If you do not have an Android smartphone, you cannot perform this role.
Important: This position cannot be performed from home, from a PC, or by watching a match online or through a livestream. The Scout must be physically present at the venue.
Training
Before receiving official assignments, selected candidates must complete an initial training program.
The training is unpaid and can be completed from home.
After completing the training, candidates complete practice assignments. Candidates who successfully complete the selection and training process can then be approved for official match assignments.
No previous experience as a Sports Data Scout is required.
What you will do
- Travel to the assigned stadium or sports hall
- Attend the match in person
- Follow the match and record events in real time using the scouting application
- Submit the collected data after the match
- Follow the operational instructions provided by Onspora
