Overview As Plant Engineer at Barilla’s Novara site, you drive capital investments and technical upgrades to maximize plant performance. You partner with the Technical Area Manager and Central Engineering to plan, design, and validate new equipment and improvements, ensuring reliability and efficiency. You define maintenance policies, manage spare parts, and oversee installation, testing, and startup of equipment. This role shapes the plant’s technical roadmap and delivers measurable productivity gains.
Responsabilità
Manage and implement plant investments and collaborate on Technical Development projects Define investment forecast (CAPEX) with sustainability and cash-out considerations Update technical diagrams and drawings for new and upgraded equipment Define preventive and predictive maintenance policies with other functions Determine spare parts stock for new equipment and installations Plan downtimes with Production Manager,
PPWM and Maintenance Manager for new equipment Propose and implement asset innovations and supplier development Identify plant improvement areas through benchmarking and collaboration with TAM and Maintenance Ensure design-industrialization consistency for new and ongoing projects Support central engineering in layout, specs, efficiency and supplier selection Coordinate with Purchasing on orders for new equipment/installations Monitor resource usage and investment costs (RCA) Collaborate on maintenance policy definitions and standardization Monitor equipment performance and implement intervention plans Coordinate technical training for maintenance personnel Maintain and update plant technical documentation
Requisiti fondamentali
Master in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Experience in a similar role, min 3 years Fluent in English (written and spoken) - preferred Strong problem-solving skills Planning and organizational abilities Teamwork, proactive attitude, and interpersonal skills Teamwork Proactivity Interpersonal skills CAPEX investment planning Maintenance policy development (preventive/predictive) Equipment design and industrialization
