About the Role
Ideal profile will be a Software/Electronic or Automation engineer who will join Comas, at our Casale Monferrato site, to design, develop and commission control software for the machines or full lines that our company produces.
Main Responsibilities:
- Based on client’s URS, perform functional analysis for proposed machines or lines, interfacing also with mechanical designers
- FDS and technical (software design) documents creation
- The candidate will be fully integrated into the team that develops automation solution. This activity is handled in some cases with direct engagement on the programming activities (PLC, SCADA, etc.) or by supervision of other resources
- Ensure software compliance with all the requirements/standards of the Customer
- For specific or critical equipment, candidate could be also involved for software commissioning activities at Customer’s site
What You Need to Be Successful
- Software/Electronic/Automation/Mechatronic Engineering studies or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of at least one of the most common automation development tools (Siemens TIA Portal 15-20/Siemens Step 7, Rockwell RSLogix 5000 V28-35) and common fieldbuses (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, etc.)
- Experience of at least 4/5 years in the same or similar role.
- Good knowledge of SCADA/HMI platforms (e.g WinCC, Archestra System Platform,, Ignition)
- Available for business trips for plants commissioning at Customers’ sites
- Good knowledge of the English Language
- Able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Flexible, proactive approach to achieve team goals in a dynamic team environment
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of I4.0 concepts and typical interfacing protocols (e.g OPC UA, MQTT, etc.)
- Knowledge of electrical related topics related to automation field ( P&ID;, schemas, network architectures, etc.)
- Knowledge of Visual Studio C#, Python or other high level language
- Knowledge of typical databases (e.g MS SQL, InFlux, etc.)
- Knowledge industrial process controls and industrial machinery for non-discrete, batch-oriented processes. (Food, Conditioning, Drying, Chemical applications or similar)
Our Offer
Compensation for this role includes a base salary starting from EUR 33.600, in line with experience. The actual offer may exceed this minimum based on the candidate's qualifications and fit for the role. A range of additional benefits (e.g., insurances, etc.) is also available in accordance with Company policy. The applicable collective agreement is the CCNL Metalmeccanico.
