Translating software and hardware requirements into concise and robust programming code and document it, working as team player with other Controls Engineers to deliver working software releases. Providing solid configuration management to each part of the project and act according to release plans. Providing support to all areas of the company that requires it, such as Sales, Offering, System Engineering, Procurement, Operation and Service. /p h3What kind of work will you be doing? /h3 h3Development Of New Software /h3 ul liTranslate high level application requirements into Software Specifications, producing the related deliverables (documentation, Scope of Operations, test plans). /li liDesign, develop and implement PLC programs and applications that respond to given requirements. /li liPerform prototyping, application tests and code reviews to ensure product quality. /li liValidate the released software attending tests in Lab and in the field, reporting bugs and proposing possible improvements /li liDeliver training and product handover to relevant stakeholders – Academy, Application Engineering and Service /li /ul h3Software Life-Cycle Maintenance /h3 ul liMaintain existing software baselines, perform debugging, testing, code improvement and re-designing tasks, including the configuration management process /li liReview hardware and components evolution and phase-in/phase out, adapting and redesigning according to the need.
/li liCollaborate with Service and Quality teams to optimize products and ensure products stay up-to-date and continue to satisfy customer needs. /li liCoordinate troubleshooting of high-level PLC issues, with development teams and appropriate methodology. /li liPrepare training documents for maintenance and production teams, explaining the operation and troubleshooting of complex control systems. /li /ul h3Software /h3 ul liDesign and develop software applications based on given requirements and specifications /li liUnderstand client requirements for GUI/communication interface, networking and create specifications based on these requirements /li liTroubleshoot issues with already existing systems /li liTechnical writing including Software Sequence of Operation (SOO) /li liRequirement Reviews – Participate in reviews and work with Systems Engineering or Customers to ensure proper implementation of features /li /ul h3General /h3 ul liComply with the company safety procedures. Live the company culture of integrity and professional competence /li liProvide timely and detailed status updates /li liQuality – Ensure standards are maintained in a highly regulated, process driven environment /li /ul h3What will make you successful? /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related field of study OR the equivalent combination of education and/or years of relevant work experience. /li liMinimum of 2 years relevant project experience working with controls and automation equipment related to development, programming, debugging, as well as support and troubleshooting. /li liKnowledge of Programming Logic Controllers according to IEC 61131-3 standards or similar. /li liExperience and skill in troubleshooting control system issues /li /ul h3General Skills /h3 ul liMS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy /li liKnowledge of software version-control systems (Git, GitHub, perforce) is nice to have /li liGood English written and oral communication skills /li liMust be a self-starter, team player,

Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits.
