Overview

In this Senior Presales Systems Engineer role, you drive technical sales for Tier 2 Service Provider customers in Italy, blending deep networking expertise with customer-focused solutioning. You will guide requirements, propose HPE-based solutions, and lead technical discussions with decision-makers. You collaborate with the local team and cross-functional peers to address virtualization, automation, and related challenges. You’ll showcase innovations and shape winning proposals in a fast, high-impact environment.

Responsabilità

- Understand customer requirements and propose HPE-based solutions addressing business needs
- Lead technical responses for RFP/RFQ and build BoMs for opportunities
- Engage and influence customer technology strategies via presentations, demos, and POCs
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer technical decision-makers and partners
- Capture new customer requirements and trends and feed them to business units




- Continuously learn about industry, competitive solutions, and emerging use cases
- Collaborate with SE peers, Account Managers, and other parts of the organization to close deals

Requisiti fondamentali

- +8 years of experience in Sales/Presales
- Fluent in English
- Strong experience with Service Provider networks in technical/pre-sales roles
- Expert knowledge in Routing technologies and routing protocols (MPLS, SR)
- Experience in Automation, Cloud/DC, Security, Network Virtualization
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly and engage diverse audiences
- Knowledge or interest in network automation and network virtualization; Python/Ansible/Netconf/YANG/JSON/OpenConfig desirable
- Industry certifications (e.g., JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CISSP, CCIE) are beneficial
