Abbott Core Diagnostics is hiring Software Engineers (Full‑Stack or Front-End) to join its team in Milan.
About The Role
As an Informatics Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing next-generation software solutions for diagnostic products. You will work across the full software lifecycle—from requirements definition to development, testing, and post‑launch support. This is an opportunity to contribute to complex, high‑impact systems, working on both user‑facing applications and robust backend services within a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user and business needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance, scalable, and secure applications
- Contribute to software architecture and system design
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and other R&D; stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation throughout the software development lifecycle
- Support released products and continuous improvements
- Work in compliance with quality and regulatory standards
Requirements
Full‑Stack Engineer
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- C# / .NET
- JavaScript or TypeScript (React)
- SQL (Oracle or other RDBMS)
- Strong knowledge of OOP principles
- Fluent English
Front-End Engineer
- 3+ years of experience
- JavaScript or TypeScript (React)
- Strong knowledge of OOP principles
- Fluent English
Nice to have (for both roles)
- Experience in healthcare or diagnostics
- Unit and integration testing
- Git and Agile methodologies (Scrum)
- Cloud platforms (Azure preferred) – Full‑Stack engineer
- RESTful APIs
- Cybersecurity and secure‑by‑design practices
- Docker / Kubernetes – Full‑Stack engineer
- SOLID principles
