Senior Finance Manager (Italy)

Our client, a global Tier 1 leader in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and clean energy solutions, is seeking an experienced finance manager to join its finance team in Milan, Italy. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a fast-growing organization at the forefront of the energy transition, supporting the expansion of utility-scale and commercial energy storage projects across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Lead accounting, financial reporting, and disclosure activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
- Support external audits, reconciliations, and resolution of accounting discrepancies.
- Review employee expenses and oversee payment approval processes.
- Prepare and manage Profit & Loss (P&L;) and Cash Flow (CF) budgets and forecasts.
- Participate in financial projects and cross-functional business initiatives.
- Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and coordinate inventory stock takes.
- Partner with IT and other functions to support finance system improvements and process optimization.
- Undertake additional finance and business support activities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting within Italy or Argentina.
- Strong knowledge of local fiscal, tax, and accounting regulations.
- Solid understanding of local GAAP and IFRS, familiarity with China GAAP would be advantageous.
- Experience in multinational or international business environments preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional proficiency in English is required for this role. Additional language skills, including Mandarin, or Italian would be advantageous.
