Compensation & Benefits: In line with our commitment to transparency and people development, the gross annual salary (RAL) for this position is up to €80.000, commensurate with experience and skills. The position is covered by the 'CCNL Commercio e Terziario' (National Collective Labor Agreement for Commerce and Service Sector), alongside a benefits package that includes meal vouchers, wellbeing initiatives (including Wellhub), and growth opportunities.
Role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Databricks Solution Architect to join our Data team and act as a technical reference across Databricks projects. The role combines hands-on technical expertise,
project leadership, client advisory and pre-sales activities, with the opportunity to drive the growth of Databricks capabilities within the organization.
Activities
- Act as the Databricks technical expert and reference point across projects.
- Lead Databricks projects, guiding both the internal team and the client.
- Support clients in defining data architectures and Databricks solutions.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including technical workshops, proposals and client presentations.
- Mentor team members and promote Databricks best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Stay up to date with the Databricks ecosystem and drive the adoption of new capabilities.
Required Skills
- Certified Databricks Champion;
- A minimum of 6-7 years of overall experience in Data, Data Engineering, Data Analytics or related fields;
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Databricks in enterprise projects;
- Proven experience working as a Databricks technical lead / expert, with the ability to guide both technical teams and clients;
- Provenability to translate business requirements into scalable and effective technical solutions;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business audiences;
- Experience contributing to or leading pre-sales activities and technical proposals;
- Strong problem-solving, leadership and mentoring skills;
- Fluent English and ability to work in an international environment.
