Purpose of the position: As Project Inspection Coordinator (PIC), you will report to the Project Inspection Manager and be part of the Quality Control function. In this role, you will also manage a dedicated team of PICs.
How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the overall project inspection activities for purchased goods, supervising the discipline Project Inspection Coordinators assigned to the project.
- Ensure consistent execution across all disciplines, compliance with purchase order, contractual and project requirements, timely availability of quality control documentation as well as review and consolidate project QC procedures, accurate updating of Company information systems.
- Oversee the planning and assignment of internal inspectors and external inspection agencies, ensuring the timely availability of complete Inspection Assignment Packages and the effective management of Pre-Inspection Meetings and inspection notifications.
- Monitor and verify inspection reports, quality records and project inspection status across all disciplines, ensuring timely filing in SAP and the correct issuance of Inspection Release Notes and Final Test Certificates.
- Ensure consistent management and resolution of non-conformity reports, punch lists and vendor Manufacturing Data Books, while monitoring inspection performance, costs and external inspectors evaluations through SAP I-PERF.
What are we looking for? Education: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management or a comparable technical discipline.
Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in vendor inspection and quality control within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Engineering or Construction industry, including significant experience in project inspection coordination and in leading multidisciplinary inspection teams.
Languages: Fluent English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages (e.g. French) is an advantage.
Technical/IT Skills: Knowledge of vendor QC processes, inspection planning, ITPs, test procedures, NCR/punch list and MDB management and applicable international codes & standards. Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, etc.
What else should you know? You will have the opportunity to travel abroad, based on project needs, to attend inspections, Pre-Inspection Meetings and vendor or sub-vendor activities at the assigned sites.
