Overview
As a Mechanical Integration Mechanical Design Engineer, you will manage CAD activities and integrate subsystems to achieve progressive maturity within allocated volumes. You will produce 3D/2D designs for home-made parts, ensure compliance of bought parts, and deliver assembly drawings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces and support industrialization with accurate BOMs.
This role sits within Engineering (Site) and contributes to Alstom’s mission of greener, smarter mobility.
Responsabilità
- Oversee CAD activities and ensure timely delivery of 3D models
- Maintain SAM (Space Allocation Mock up) according to maturity rules
- Create annotated SAMs for supplier exchanges and verify supplier feedback
- Perform 3D detailed design of home-made parts within defined interfaces and constraints
- Perform 2D or annotated 3D detailed design following data structuring rules
- Produce assembly drawings and generate BOMs for industrialization
- Provide weight data and support stack-up calculations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as structural design, routing, and project teams
Requisiti fondamentali
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- 1–2 years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally in railway products
- Desirable: 3D modelling and drawing creation, heavy industry design
- English: intermediate reading/writing; fluent in technical meetings
