The Finance & Accounting team at Grafton, a global brand specialising in Professional Recruitment, is recruiting on behalf of our client Amal Embroideries, an Indian multinational company operating exclusively with European luxury groups, for the following role:
JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT
for the Rome office (San Lorenzo area).
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and financial operations in compliance with Italian accounting standards (OIC) and applicable IFRS requirements.
The candidate will assist in bookkeeping, tax compliance, reconciliations, invoicing, and preparation of financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general accounting records and journal entries
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Manage vendor invoices and customer billing
- Assist in VAT (IVA) filings, F24 payments, and tax compliance activities
- Perform bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
- Assist in preparation of financial statements as per Italian GAAP (OIC) / IFRS standards
- Maintain fixed asset register and inventory records
- Prepare accounting documentation for audits and statutory compliance
- Support payroll accounting entries and expense tracking
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and internal departments
- Ensure compliance with Italian accounting and fiscal regulations
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma in accounting (or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics is preferred
- 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of Italian accounting principles (OIC) and basic IFRS understanding
- Fluency in English – Speaking, Reading & Writing
- Familiarity with VAT, invoicing, and Italian tax procedures
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills in English; Italian language knowledge preferred
Remuneration package:
- GAS range: 25.000€ - 30.000€
- fixed-term contract with a duration of 1 year
- no performance premio
- remote working opportunities (up to 1-2 days per week)
