Senior Software Engineer – Permanent & Tempo pieno Remote in Italy I’m working with an exciting international technology company that is expanding its engineering team in Ticino and looking for a Senior Software Engineer. This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who enjoys distributed systems, architecture, and technical leadership. What you’ll be doing
- Lead the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems
- Drive architecture decisions around scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Own cross-team technical initiatives and influence engineering direction
- Mentor engineers and raise standards around design, code quality, and operational excellence
- Drive best practices across software design, testing, and observability
- Take ownership of critical features and services from concept through production
What you bring
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or extensive equivalent professional experience
- Extensive experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems,
strong software engineering background
- Strong experience with Golang, C++ or Ruby
- Strong knowledge of system design, algorithms and data structures
- Experience with modern backend architectures, APIs and service-oriented systems
- Strong automated testing experience, including TDD, BDD and integration testing
- JavaScript/TypeScript and React experience is a plus
- Fluent English; Italian is a plus
This role can be offered on a fully remote basis from Italy, so previous experience working successfully in a remote environment is required.
