Brett Johnson is expanding its creative and product development team and is looking for a mid‑level Product Development & Sketching Designer to support the creation of a modern luxury collection across all categories. This role blends creative sketching with technical product development, contributing directly to the brand’s evolution and international growth.
What You Will Do
- Sketch the collection — Produce hand and digital sketches that reflect Brett Johnson’s refined, contemporary aesthetic and input.
- Create technical drawings — Develop precise flats for RTW, outerwear, knitwear, jersey, leather goods, accessories, and footwear.
- Build tech packs — Prepare complete documentation including measurements, construction details, materials, trims, and finishing notes.
- Support product development — Collaborate with pattern makers, suppliers, and sample rooms to ensure prototypes meet the brand’s standards of quality and comfort.
- Coordinate materials — Assist in fabric, leather, yarn, and trim selection; maintain BOMs and material libraries.
- Review samples — Participate in fittings and sample evaluations, providing clear feedback for refinement.
- Work across categories — Ensure consistency of design language throughout the entire collection.
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of experience in fashion design or product development, ideally within luxury or premium brands.
- Strong sketching skills (hand + digital).
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; PLM systems and CLO3D are a plus.
- Solid understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and materials.
- Clear communication and a structured, detail‑oriented approach.
- A refined aesthetic sensibility aligned with modern luxury.
