We are seeking an Operations Manager who will oversee key financial aspects of the restaurant’s P&L;, ensuring budget alignment and cost control while supporting leadership in upholding brand standards, core values, and business objectives. The role is to drive operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and team development in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Understand and manage budgetary and P&L; components, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and develop staff into brand ambassadors, fostering a culture of exceptional customer service.
- Workforce Management: Create and adjust work schedules in line with forecasting and budgetary guidelines.
- Departmental Leadership: Run a cost centre or department, ensuring smooth operations and brand consistency.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with all teams to execute systems and processes that deliver high-quality products and services.
- Team Development: Assist in building a high-performing team that aligns with the restaurant’s vision and values.
- Retail & Sales Growth: Implement brand standards in retail operations while identifying innovative opportunities to boost sales through guest and staff engagement.
- Guest-Centric Culture: Foster an environment where guest satisfaction is the top priority, meeting or exceeding brand benchmarks.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain service standards to ensure guest expectations are consistently met.
- Music & Guest Engagement: Connect with guests through knowledge of music trends and history.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention: Support leadership in recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent, placing them in roles that maximize their potential.
- Performance Management: Set clear goals and expectations for team members, using performance reviews to drive accountability and success.
- Career Development: Guide staff along structured career paths, ensuring growth and advancement opportunities.
- Training & Development: Act as a Learning Coach, designing and executing training programs to enhance skills and improve retention.
Key requirements:
- Proven track record in an Operations Manager role within a high-volume, full-service, casual-themed restaurant.
- Innovative thinker with the ability to introduce creative solutions to the team.
- Passionate about service with a guest-first mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Business acumen with problem-solving expertise to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Confident presenter—able to pitch ideas and information to diverse audiences, including guests, teams, and leadership.
- Fluency in English required;
multilingual abilities are a plus.
