We are seeking a motivated engineer to join our team and take ownership of product safety aspects concerning Gas Technology Equipment, Climate Technology Solutions and Industrial Power Generation products and Services. You will be responsible to analyse product safety aspects within engineering projects and New Product Development (NPD) programs, leading safety assessments to ensure that personnel and environmental hazards are mitigated to a safe level throughout the entire product lifecycle.
As part of the Product and Technical Safety team,
you'll work within a group that combines reactive safety practices with proactive responsibilities, to ensure that personnel and environmental hazards are mitigated to a safe level throughout the entire products and plants lifecycle. In this role, you will also respond to fleet related safety issues, analysing incidents, recommending measures to reduce or eliminate hazards and applying lessons learned to enhance safety standards.
As Product Safety Engineer, your key responsibilities will be:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and hazardous situations throughout the product lifecycle, as outlined in standards like ISO 12100.
- Evaluate risks in terms of severity, likelihood, and impact, guiding engineering design teams toward effective mitigation measures, including hazard elimination, safeguarding, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assignment, and supplementary protective action
