GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Provides the initiative, technical ability,
and responsibility to assist the Plant Manager in managing the operation and maintenance of the power plant or plants consistent with the mission of the Cooperative. This role involves supervising plant operations, maintenance planning and scheduling, budget estimating, vendor selection, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Plant O&M; Manager will keep the Plant Manager informed of all operation, maintenance, environmental, and safety activities and issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the activities of power plant operations and maintenance personnel and assists Plant Manager in analyzing problems with plant operation and maintenance.
- Participates in Arkansas Electric Cooperatives Corporation (AECC) Operations Safety Committee in development of overall departmental safety program and implements safety program at the plant.
- Inspects plant equipment routinely including equipment located at remotely located hydroelectric turbine and combustion turbine plants.
