Since then, we have consistently grown, diversifying our products and expanding into new markets. We are currently hiring a Software Engineer (Java) based in Milan (hybrid work).
You will report to the Head of Engineering Italy and join a backend engineering team.
You'll own your service areas end-to-end - from design through to production and collaborate closely with mobile and web engineers to ship features that are reliable, well-documented, and built to last.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who takes quality seriously, integrates well into a team, and doesn't need close supervision to deliver. Your work will directly power Epassi's B2C consumer and B2B merchant platforms.
Build and maintain Java-based microservices that power both the B2C and B2B platforms, following API-first principles
Deliver features end-to-end, from implementation through testing and release
Design clean, well-documented REST APIs consumed by web and mobile clients, with backward compatibility and versioning discipline
Align on API contracts, data models, and integration patterns early in the development cycle
Write unit and integration tests that give the team genuine confidence in what you ship
Own incidents within your service areas, contribute to post-mortems, and follow t
