About the role
ESE – European School of Economics is looking for an experienced Music Management professional and/or lecturer to deliver a short specialised course in Music Management.
The course will focus on the practical and professional aspects of the music industry, with particular attention to artist management, talent development, live music and the organisation of music events.
Key topics may include
- Music industry structure and key players
- Artist and talent management
- Artist career development
- Branding, positioning and promotion
- Booking and live music management
- Working with venues, festivals and promoters
- Music events and festival management
- Building professional networks and industry relationships
- International music markets
- Contracts, fees and basic business considerations
- Practical case studies and real-world examples
The programme can be adapted according to the lecturer’s expertise and the specific learning objectives of the course.
Requirements
- Solid professional experience in music management, artist management or the wider music industry
- Strong knowledge of the live music and events sector
- Experience working with artists, venues, festivals, promoters or other music industry professionals
- Excellent spoken and written English (C1/C2 level)
- Strong communication and teaching skills
- Ability to combine theoretical knowledge with practical, industry-based examples
- A professional network and up-to-date knowledge of the music industry would be an advantage
Previous teaching experience is preferred, but relevant professional experience in the music industry will also be considered.
Job Type: Commission
Pay: €70.00 - €72.00 per hour
