WBD Group is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Technician to join our Structural, Civil and Façade Engineering team, working remotely with our London consultancy. The successful candidate will have advanced Autodesk Revit skills, strong BIM coordination and model-management experience, and the ability to independently produce, review and manage high-quality BIM deliverables, drawings and schedules.
Previous experience with façades or building-envelope systems—including cladding, rainscreen, curtain walling, windows or SFS—is required. Experience in shop drawings, Navisworks, Dynamo, UK construction projects and coordinating other BIM technicians would be advantageous. Good written and spoken English is preferred.
Core Requirements
- Strong Autodesk Revit experience, ideally at an advanced level.
- Good understanding of BIM model management, worksharing, linked models, coordinates, model health and general BIM standards.
- Ability to review and check models produced by other technicians.
- Good understanding of Revit families, parameters, schedules, tagging and data extraction.
- Experience producing drawings and schedules directly from BIM models.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for BIM deliverables.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Organised, methodical and comfortable working as part of a remote team.
Façade Experience
- Previous experience working with façades, cladding, rainscreen, curtain walling, windows, SFS or similar building envelope systems would be strongly preferred.
- Good general understanding of façade systems, interfaces and construction detailing.
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous, but are not essential:
- Experience with fabrication or shop drawing level BIM.
- Experience reviewing or coordinating the work of other BIM technicians.
- Navisworks and multidisciplinary model coordination.
- Dynamo or other BIM automation tools.
- Good Excel skills and experience working with schedules and model data.
- Experience on UK construction projects.
- Experience working within a façade contractor, consultant or specialist subcontractor environment.
- Previous experience working with façades, cladding, rainscreen, curtain walling, windows, SFS or similar building envelope systems is required. not strongly preferred.
