OverviewIn this Bid Manager role you work within the Business Development & Tendering Department to deliver high-quality, competitive tenders that leverage Alstom's global capabilities.
You will manage tender budgets, craft customer-focused solutions at winning price points, and ensure timely, compliant submissions.
You'll coordinate with cross-functional teams and governance processes to support RS business growth and tender success.
This position offers impact across large-scale rail projects, with visibility to leadership and a clear path to delivering profitable bids.
ResponsabilitàManage tender budgets and cost control
Develop customer-focused solutions at winning price points
Ensure margin commitments are realized
Deliver high-quality, deliverable tender submissions
Implement opportunity capture plans and win strategies
Deliver tenders within scope, QCD commitments, and timelines
Coordinate with Bid Director,
resource owners, and proposals team to produce binding submissions
Ensure governance per Alstom's Global & Local processes
Requisiti fondamentaliBid management experience in large-scale, technically complex tenders
Project management experience
Knowledge of financial processes
Bid writing experience
Strong numerical and communication skills
Proficiency with Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Experience presenting to business leaders and customers
CRM software knowledge (e.g., Salesforce)
Understanding of commercial contracts used in signalling, systems & infrastructure projects
