Overview
In this role, you will support two extra-budgetary projects to advance environmental monitoring via IoT and low-cost weather stations. You will help deploy sensing networks in the Maldives and the Nile Basin, build local technical capacities, and manage data workflows. You will document deployments, conduct applied research, and contribute to scientific publications. The position blends field deployment, capacity building, and collaboration with international partners to strengthen climate-resilient monitoring.

Responsabilità
- Support TRACT outputs on IoT deployments and monitoring infrastructure across the Maldives
- Assist FRIEND-NILE outputs, deploying monitoring equipment and managing datasets via IHP-WINS
- Design and deliver training workshops on IoT and wireless environmental monitoring
- Manage project activities, reporting, and stakeholder communications with UNEP, national partners, and UNESCO IHP AI Task Force
- Document deployments and share technical details with local stakeholders
- Conduct applied research on resilience and effectiveness of deployed solutions for publication
Requisiti fondamentali
- Master's degree in relevant field
- At least 1 year of experience in environmental or water resources management, preferably international and multidisciplinary
