This position performs a variety of both complex and routine administrative services and works closely with senior human resources management and other staff members of the human resource department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Knowledge of principles and practices of all aspects of human resources management.
- Knowledge of federal, state, local laws, rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to always maintain sensitive and confidential information of human resources administration work.

Skills to include:

- Problem Solving – identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information accurately and skillfully.
- Planning and organizing – prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans to meet all required deadlines.
- Quality Control – demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Adaptability – adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands,



and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Dependability – consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.
- Communications - strong verbal and written communication skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associates Degree required in human resources, business management or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in an administrative/clerical position.
- One (1) year of human resources, payroll, or benefits experience.
- Public sector or local government HR experience preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residency.
- Must obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 within three (3) months of employment.
