OverviewIn this role you will help define and maintain Group accounting policies aligned with IFRS, support IFRS reporting for the Group, and drive continuous improvement in a truly international setting.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to interpret new standards and implement policy changes.
The position combines technical accounting expertise with analytical thinking and stakeholder collaboration to shape the Group's financial reporting framework.

ResponsabilitàDefine, maintain and evolve Group Accounting Policies and related guidelines in line with IFRS
Monitor impact of new accounting standards and regulatory developments on financial reporting
Provide technical accounting support and guidance on complex IFRS issues to Group Business Units
Produce accounting memoranda, position papers and implementation guidelines
Support IFRS 17 reporting processes and related policies
Assist in preparing and reviewing the Group's consolidated IFRS financial statements
Analyze reporting information to ensure consistency and compliance with Group standards
Enhance reporting processes, controls,
data quality and automation
Participate in cross-functional, international projects with Group Functions and Local BU
Collaborate with external auditors and regulators during audits
Deliver training on accounting topics within the Group
Travel periodically to Generali Group BUs for projects and governance
Requisiti fondamentali5-7 years of professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or technical accounting
Master's degree in relevant fields; additional professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CPA) are a plus
Experience in multinational groups, financial institutions, insurers, or listed entities valued
Previous Big Four experience is a strong plus
Fluent English; Italian is a plus
Deep knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting principles
Strong understanding of consolidated financial statements and reporting processes
Knowledge of IFRS 17 is a significant plus
Experience with accounting policy analysis and interpretation of complex transactions
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; experience with reporting/consolidation systems (Tagetik, SAP or similar)
Analytical and critical thinking
Ability to simplify complex topics for diverse stakeholders
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills
