Overview
In this role based in Milan, you will shape the strategy for Constructions and Corporate Client risks in the Italian market and support Allianz Mid Corporate targets. You will act as a liaison for agents and brokers and collaborate with the Risk Engineering Team to align underwriting with guidelines. You’ll drive portfolio performance, support product development, and contribute to cross-functional marketing and risk assessment efforts. This position offers impact through shaping risk strategy, improving profitability, and strengthening local market execution.
Responsabilità
- Ensure underwriters follow authority, pricing and rating guidelines
- Steer local portfolio in line with financial targets with Head of Engineering
- Review end-to-end underwriting performance with functional teams
- Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and other lines to support marketing and cross-selling
- Maintain underwriting consistency and compliance with governance, rules, and local regulations
- Support development and implementation of new or modified products
- Assist in acquiring new business and renewing existing accounts (including agent/broker negotiations)
- Communicate local business strategy externally
Requisiti fondamentali
- Master's degree in Industrial, Civil, Construction or Mechanical Engineering
- 3 to 5 years' experience in underwriting profitable Risk Engineering for corporate and construction risks and Engineering Professional Firms
- Proven leadership skills
- Expertise in risk assessment and policy administration lifecycle
- Strong pricing knowledge and market analysis capability
- Experience in designing, developing, and implementing wordings (ideally)
- Experience driving underwriting projects (ideally)
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in an international organization
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Data analytics
- Very good knowledge of Office 365 and other collaborative tools
