Vega-C Launch System and Operations Engineer

Overview In this role you will support launcher-to-ground interfaces and lead launch campaign operations within the Vega and Space Rider programs. You will work under the Vega and Space Rider Launch System and Engineering Manager to harmonise approaches across Vega-C, Vega-E and Space Rider, driving operational concepts and process improvements. You’ll coordinate launch campaigns, oversee operational validation, and contribute to the integration of ground and launcher systems.
This position offers impact on system competitiveness, cadence, and operational efficiency within a mission-driven, cross-program team.
Responsabilità
- Harmonise launch campaign engineering across Vega-C, Vega-E and Space Rider
- Follow up industrial activities for launch campaigns, launcher processing and integration
- Prepare, execute and post-flight assessment of launch campaigns; monitor technical issues and lessons learned
- Maintain consistency between launch system definition, operations engineering, and operational documentation
- Coordinate development of operational concepts for future launcher developments (Vega-E and beyond)
- Prepare and maintain launcher-to-ground segment interface requirements and interface control documents
- Contribute to launch system trade-offs for operational concepts, ground segment integration and exploitation readiness
- Monitor technical risks and interface issues; propose and implement mitigations
- Support digitalisation of engineering and operational processes (requirements mgmt, configuration mgmt, MBSE, data mgmt)
Requisiti fondamentali
- Master in Engineering
- 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Direct experience with Vega-related programmes and launch campaigns is an asset
