ppWe are expanding Duferco’s Corporate Innovation Team: a fast-moving team operating in a startup-like environment, backed by the stability and scale of a global diversified group. /p /brpWe are looking for a bForward Deployed Engineer /b: someone who works close to business teams, understands messy operational problems, and turns AI, data, and automation into practical solutions. /p /brpYou will work across domains such as energy, trading, logistics, steel, insurance, sports, and other sectors — not as an external consultant, but as part of the group itself, with the ownership and continuity of an internal product and engineering team. /p /brpYou will identify opportunities, prototype AI-enabled tools, evaluate impact, and help deploy solutions that remove bottlenecks, improve decision-making, and create leverage across the business. /p /brh3About the Team /h3 /brpWe sit close to real business problems and have the freedom to prototype and ship quickly. AI is already part of our daily workflow, and we expect that role to keep expanding. /p /brpWe care about building things that work in the real world: useful tools, reliable automations, better workflows, and systems that create measurable impact. /p /brpWe appreciate people who enjoy ownership, fast iteration, pragmatic problem solving, and working directly with users to understand how things actually get done. /p /brh3What You’ll Do /h3 /brpDesign and build AI-enabled solutions that make the organization faster and smarter: /p /brul /brliAI applications, agents, and automation workflows for real business processes /li /brliData analysis, decision-support tools, and internal analytics workflows /li /brliRetrieval, document intelligence, structured outputs, and knowledge systems /li /brliPrototypes that test whether AI can create real operational value /li /brliIntegrations with internal tools, databases, APIs, documents,



and third-party systems /li /brliEvaluation and monitoring approaches to understand whether AI systems are working as intended /li /br /ul /brpYou’ll work directly with business and technical teams to understand problems, identify opportunities, prototype solutions, measure impact, and iterate — not just execute predefined specs. /p /brh3What We Offer /h3 /brul /brliA high-autonomy role with direct influence on how AI is applied across the group /li /brliReal business problems with visible impact /li /brliModern AI-assisted tools and time to explore new technologies and approaches /li /brliA fast-moving, collaborative environment with talented and ambitious people /li /brliA broad variety of technical and business challenges across different domains /li /brliCompetitive compensation and benefits /li /brliFlexible working hours and hybrid work setup. /li /br /ul /brh3You’re Probably a Fit If /h3 /brul /brliYou have hands-on experience applying AI, machine learning, data science, or analytics to real business problems. /li /brliYou enjoy working close to users and business teams, understanding how work actually happens, and turning messy problems into useful AI-enabled solutions. /li /brliYou are comfortable working with LLMs, modern AI APIs, structured and unstructured data, and know how to evaluate whether an AI solution is actually useful. /li /brliYou can explore a dataset, identify patterns or opportunities, prototype a solution, and communicate trade-offs clearly. /li /brliYou are pragmatic about AI: excited by what it can do, but aware of its limitations, failure modes, and the importance of good evaluation. /li /brliYou have enough software engineering ability to build reliable prototypes, integrations, automations, or internal tools, preferably using Python. /li /br /ul /brpExperience with RAG systems, vector databases, agent frameworks, workflow automation, forecasting, optimization, BI tools, Postgres, AWS, or complex operational domains is a strong plus. /p /brpYou do not need experience with every technology we use.
