Overview In this role you lead the electronics hardware and firmware development for residential access automation within the Schio engineering team. You drive design robustness, cost efficiency, and production readiness while mentoring a team of electronics and firmware engineers. You collaborate with product marketing, system, software, cloud, and IoT teams to translate needs into technical solutions.
You contribute to continuous improvement and ensure reliable, scalable electronic solutions aligned with the company’s automation mission.
Responsabilità
- Provide technical leadership in electronic design (power electronics, motor control, RF)
- Validate design choices for cost, performance, and robustness
- Interface with product marketing and System Engineers to translate requirements
- Collaborate with software, cloud and IoT teams to align on integration
- Ensure quality and repeatability in high-volume production
- Guarantee product maintenance in serial life conditions
- Contribute to continuous improvement tools, methodologies and standards
- Drive cost optimization through BOM management and design-to-cost approach
- Lead and develop the electronics team (roles, responsibilities, skill development)
- Create and execute development plans for EMC, RF, low power, and safety
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and support, motivating teams toward project goals
- Contribute to recruitment and ensure standards compliance during work
- Ensure design reviews and activity monitoring across designers
Requisiti fondamentali
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent
- 5-10 years of firmware and/or hardware development for embedded systems in industrial high-volume environments
- 3-5 years of team management experience in electronics offices
- Fluent Italian (mandatory)
- Fluent professional English; French is a plus
