Overview
Envision and steer complex projects from pursuit to closeout, ensuring financial and technical success. You lead and coordinate the project team, maintain client and supplier relationships, and uphold governance and safety standards. You actively anticipate opportunities and issues to adapt strategy and drive outcomes. This role sits at the core of delivering large EPC/EPFC projects and shaping execution strategy in a dynamic energy context.
Responsabilità
- Manage large Lump Sum Turnkey EPC/EPFI projects typically $100–$500m
- Accountable for project performance across safety, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction
- Lead project teams and coordinate with McDermott policy and senior management for issue resolution
- Oversee precontract proposal activities including risk and opportunity management and bid strategy
- Represent McDermott to the client and subcontractors; manage relationships and contract administration
- Develop and implement FEED and overall project execution plans; ensure compliance with HSE, QA, and contract requirements
- Drive risk management, contingency planning, and lessons learned across engineering, fabrication, construction, and installation
- Support business development through capture strategies, bid team leadership,
and understanding of contracting strategies
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Deliver as-sold or better gross profit and robust forecast accuracy
- Oversee change management, documentation, and transfer to operations
- Foster a high-performance safety culture and ethical governance
Requisiti fondamentali
- 15+ years in relevant industry for EPC PM or 10+ years for FEED PM (with minimum 5 years as FEED PM)
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering field or Construction Management
- Strong technical competency to manage project technical challenges and team selection
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Data analytics capability to track and trend project performance
- Ability to problem-solve, influence, and resolve conflicts
- Understanding of EPC contracts and contracting strategies
- Experience with schedule, cost controls, risk management, and forecasting
